About I & T

A local team.
A practical approach.

I & T Electrical & Engineering Ltd is an electrical contracting business based in Aintree, Sefton. We work with homeowners, landlords, businesses and construction teams across Liverpool and the North West.

Our work ranges from domestic improvements to commercial electrical installations, inspection and testing. We understand that a good result depends on planning, communication and careful coordination as well as the installation itself.

What matters on every job

  • A clear scope. Agree the work and identify what is included before starting.
  • Practical planning. Discuss access, shutdowns, occupied spaces and the programme.
  • Testing and handover. Provide the appropriate inspection, test results and certification for the work undertaken.
  • Direct communication. Raise issues and changes so you can make informed decisions.

How we work

A straightforward route
from enquiry to handover.

Whether you have a small property job or a detailed tender pack, start by sharing the basics.

01

Tell us what you need

02

Agree the work

We discuss the requirements, arrange a survey where needed and prepare a quotation with a defined scope.

03

We coordinate the installation and the appropriate testing, then explain the completed work and documentation.

Your questions, answered

Before you book.

How much does a house rewire cost?

Our guide for a full house rewire is £4,280–£8,080+, including VAT. Size, specification, access and the condition of the existing installation affect the price. Decoration is excluded; we confirm the work in a written quotation.

Do I need a new consumer unit?

That depends on the condition and suitability of the existing unit and circuits, and the work you are planning. Send us a clear photograph and details of the job. An inspection may be needed before we recommend a replacement.

What information helps with an EV charger quotation?

Send your postcode, a photo of the consumer unit, the proposed charger position and the approximate cable distance. We assess the supply, available capacity, cable route and any load management needed.

Do you take on both domestic and commercial work?

Yes. We undertake home electrical improvements as well as commercial and industrial electrical installation, maintenance, inspection and testing.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send your postcode, a description of the work and your preferred timescale. Photos are useful for domestic jobs; drawings, specifications and a programme help us price larger projects.

Does an EICR include the cost of repairs?

The inspection and report identify the condition of the installation. Any remedial work should be agreed as a separate scope and quotation unless it has expressly been included.

Can you work around an occupied property or business?

We can discuss access, working hours and any supply interruptions before starting. The practical arrangements depend on the work required and the premises.

Will I receive electrical certification?

We provide the appropriate inspection, testing and certification for the work undertaken. The type of document depends on whether the work is a new installation, an alteration or an inspection of an existing installation.

Do you install chargers for homes and workplaces?

Yes. We assess the supply, capacity and proposed location before agreeing an EV charger installation. Share photos and your requirements so we can advise on the next step.
